Ferric Ammonium Citrate (Ammonium ferric citrate) is a brown-red transparent thin scale or tan granule, and the cargo position is brownish-yellow powder. Odorless, hygroscopic, and easy to deteriorate when exposed to light. It is extremely soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol.

It is a combination of iron, ammonia, and citric acid, generally used as a blood tonic agent, and can be formulated as a blood tonic or syrup. It can be used for rapid imaging of upper abdominal MR and rapid imaging of magnetic resonance biliary and pancreatic ducts. It is also suitable for chronic blood loss, malnutrition, pregnancy, and iron deficiency anemia caused by child development.
