Storage Conditions: 2–8°C
Product Description:
Edoxaban (Chemical name: N-(5-chloropyridin-2-yl)-N'-((1S,2R,4S)-4-[(dimethylamino)carbonyl]-2-{[(5-methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrothiazolo[5,4-c]pyridin-2-yl)carbonyl]amino}cyclohexyl)oxamide; the tosylate salt is used in formulations) is a small-molecule oral anticoagulant developed by the Japanese company Daiichi Sankyo.
Mechanism of Action:
Acts as a coagulation factor Xa (FXa) inhibitor. During the coagulation process, activated coagulation factor X (FXa) converts prothrombin (FII) into thrombin (FIIa), promoting fibrin formation and subsequent thrombus formation. Consequently, FXa has become a primary target for the development of next-generation anticoagulants.
